Playground layout tweaks
« on: September 01, 2009, 10:20:15 AM »
Althought I hate to mess with perfection ;DI need a few tweaks in playground. Mainly because the forum will ultimately be advert/revenue based and I need to milk every square inch I can from the layout. Any assistance would be appriciated.

The first is the bottom area. As seen in the attachment - can the copyright stuff be placed across the bottom block? If that can be done - can I insert a table in the box where the copyright stuff used to be so I can place some banners, disclaimers and such?

Thx, +EV

No prob

Just change the copyright from a UL to an inline tag and then add a table with one TR and three TD's in the bottom area

I can knock something up later if you want

Hate to admit but I have no php skillz. Not bad with html and css. I plan on studying php but can't until this forum is up and running due to time constraints and deadlines.

Sorry dude

Playground

Just don't want to mess up the rest of ya edits

May have to do some stuff in the css but I placed a tag at the end of all the css just for this type of thing :D:D- forward thinking - good ehhhh so css global changes are cool :D:D

Do you have dreamwever or something if not you could zip up your Css as well they are found in the /theme-styles directory unless you have made no changes and I will do the changes if any to a default set

Here's the file. As far as the css - I plan on allowing users to choose from any theme color so I'll have to edit each. If you want to post the css edits I'll take care of it - unless of course you want me to ship you all 25 css'  :))

Thx man

If I make changes

I will ship all 25 files as I have a job which will do the changes to all files

I was only kidding about doing it for me - you know that right? Should I zip up the 25? What program do you use to edit multiple files at once?

Okay will have a go

May have to be two lines at the bottom also if you change the copyright it will change it for every theme I think can be 100% but it is tagged into the DB so if you remove it - it throws up an error

Yup, just want to move it. 2 lines is ok. Do you think I should ask smf if it is ok with them?
