Once you have uploaded it to the themes directory

then you need to add it here the same  name as the folder you uploaded it to

In the admin go to Languages>Settings.

it is set at english-utf8.  when i go to modify profiles for membergroups of some folks the primary language always reads galician.

now, as i'm in my acc't doing the change it appears in english, but i've had three (03) newbies tell me that initially the site is in english and when they set the account up it comes up in some other language (i guess galitian).

don't know if it's some kind of quirk.  if galitian always appears on top of the language selections maybe that's it...just don't know.

Ok, had a look around to make sure English was the default setting for you languages and it is, so I just reselected it and saved it again in case of any problems.  Don't know if this has fixed it or not.  You can check it and let me know, k?

Also, I think I have explained this to you already as I just don't have the time to do this as this is very time consuming, but very simple enough for you to do yourself...

Basically, I did not install all utf-8 language files that you are allowing your other members to choose from.  You should do this yourself.  To check which language files you will need for SMF 2.0 RC 1.2, you can go here => Routine Maintenance and click on the Run task now button underneath the first option there, Check all files against current versions.  After this runs and finishes, click on the Languages Link in there and you will be presented with a list of language files that you have installed.  All red colored versions are files you have that are outdated.  You will need to install the latest version of these files over at SMF here => SMF Language Packs.  Make sure you select the right language, and version of SMF, which you'll need utf8 for SMF 2.0 RC1.2 or RC1-1 (which are just as compatible).  Once you have downloaded this, you'll want to extract and upload all files from it to your server.  If any files are found and needs to be overwritten, overwrite all of these files.  Like I said, I installed the English UTF-8 for you already, so all you need is all other languages, otherwise, if you do not install these, users will have problems when trying to use a different language other than English that you offer to your members.

Well, good luck and Cheers :)

been OTR for a job.  sorry so long to reply.  i saw what ya meant by tie consuming!  wish they'd make a mass upload pack one day!

have another question and hope ya'll don't get tired of me!  so, i'm trying to get the gallery running like ya'llz!  i believe it was shortie who went ahead and fired up the icon for me.  I went ahead and changed my gallery to the same one that ya'll use.  in the transfer of such the icon won't fire up the smf media.  do i need to change some stuff in the playground coding?  i can cut and paste pretty good if you point me that way or whatever is easiest on your end.  i have put a gallery into the smf media gallery and don't really have any pix in the old gallery which was smf gallery lite.  i would also like to learn about how ya'll have all your galleries appear down below and when a new image is uploaded it appears as well.

as always thank you.  oh, and i get a note to embed my site in the profile and it has always been there; didn't know if i should do something else or if i am compliant w/the request to do such.

IBRR, you have it linking to ?action=gallery, instead of ?action=mgallery.  You can open up the file (index.template.php I think, or maybe it is BoardIndex.template.php) and search for
                    Code: [Select]
?action=gallery and change this to read
                    Code: [Select]
?action=mgallery.  Hopefully it is only in there once.  But if it's more than once, you'll want to change it for all of them.

... oh, and i get a note to embed my site in the profile and it has always been there; didn't know if i should do something else or if i am compliant w/the request to do such.

                     ;D
Everybody is getting that note, just a reminder and tip for those seeking help.  You are compliant :)  Should go away soon.

SoLo is right it only occurs once and this is in index.template.php

it is near the bottom in the template_dock_menu function I think

Are you talking about the portal block here at GM

That was a SoLo special the same as the downloads which are shown on the front page

If he is happy I will post but it is not a simple bit of code due to the way we wanted the latest images plus 5 random ones from the gallery

So in other words a cut and paste many work but will not guarantee if you know what I mean

no worries.  i do have a bit of a situation, though.  when i deleted my wordpress theme it seems to have removed the themes folder where the themes were under wp-admin.  this, in turn, causes the header in the forum to not load the header image.  i went ahead and loaded the header into both the root directory and the /images folders, but do not know where the code is in the index.template to 'reroute' the loading of my header image.  :'(

i seem to be your guys pet project and really do apologize.  i suppose, on the upside, anyone in the future following this thread will probably get just about every answer they will ever need to any questions?!  :)

if someone can tell me where i need to edit the new location of my header, i would be grateful!

not sure what i'll do as to the /themes folder.  i loaded a new theme up for the wp and it loads the theme, but i have no idea where it goes.  that is another thread topic, though, and i will leave it alone on this thread.

thanx in advance for all ya'll do!

                              Okay nice and simple

Up load your Header / Logo to somewhere you know

                              E.g. http://www.mydomain.com/somewhere/header.png

Make a note of the complete URL

                              Now go to Your Forum

                              and go

                              ADMIN >> Current Theme

And about a third of the way down is an input box

                              e.g.

Now add the URL to your uploaded image and save and all should be okay now

Let me know how you get on
