Resizing a PNG
« on: March 17, 2009, 04:06:02 PM »
    Hi All

What is the best way to resize a PNG from 256x256 to 35x35 keeping as much quality as poss

I have tried a number of methods

    Photoshop (just resize image)
    Photoshop (resize in ten Steps)
    Infrview resize
    XNview resize

So what would you lot do to resize and maintain detail

    Here is my best attempt

    Original

    Resized Image

    Cheers

        Thats pretty good

cant see a lot of diff - BUT it is half the size which will make it load quicker

All I did was went to the image tab and clicked on image resize and changed it to 35 X 35. :)

Bicubic is the best way.  You can try Bicubic Sharper in Photoshop, which is the best way that I know of.  If you know a better way to resize, please educate me! :)
