you could try it in XP but I will very much doubt it as part of the functionality is to Kill the Sidebar process as it keeps files locked and I do not know if Alkey works in this manner

@DM and views here ? ? ?

You could give it a try and let me know

the newest version is Here....

The only difference between Alky and Vista is the path is different.  In Alky the gadget file is at \Document and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets and in Vista is kinda swapped....\user\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets so depends on how the gadget is built and whether it looks for sidebar.exe and .ini file in the \Program Files\Windows Sidebar folder.

AH I see

I use the call

System.Gadget.path

and kill the image

sidebar.exe

So probably not - killing the images should work if the name is the same but it will be the call to the settings.ini which is probably the issue

 8)The 2.5 works well with my system. When I use the small png with my background it displays the fonts in white; when I use the large png it displays the fonts in a cool toxic green which looks good against the back. My question : Is there anyway I can still use my background and have the fonts in a glowing light blue or an orange?
