Got a couple more questions though.

Where did you get your smileys? The ones I have seen are awful.

The Smiley's is a long story I saw them a long time ago on a site and asked the owner where they got them from but no joy - then I found some of them on DA and tried again to track them down so over time as I found the odd one or two so I collected them - a bit like collecting stamps I suppose - I am after another set so if you find some realy cool ones them Let me know :D:D

Is it easy enough to put my Forum name at the top of this theme you have here?

Yep very easy there are a number of ways

1. You can have just text and that will be taken from your database so what ever your place is called it will be displayed

2. You can change the default theme logo to suit your requirements

3. You can point your forum to an external logo and have that displayed

4. you can make the logo global or on a theme basis as well

5. And finally you can have a rotating logo Like here just to give it some character - We also run a little challenge each month to design / create logos / headers for here and the best of the best get displayed "UP-Top" help people feel involved and saves me dictating what should be displayed  8)8)8)8)

I really appreciate the helpful advise.

No problem any questions just shout

Do you accept donations? I can't give much but I don't mind. I am on a very low budget and with GM going bankrupt I will have to go apply for SSI disability.
I think you deserve some monetary award for your dedication on helping others.
Hugs,
Olivia

Thanks for the thought but at the moment there is no need as I feel that somethings in life should be free (like enjoyment and fun) if we grow to a size where it needs more investment then there will always be that possibility BUT to be honest cannot see a need so can't say one way or the other

I am just amazed at all the tricks and tips and I like this forum style too. I use FireFox/Mozilla as my browser since IE seems to mess with my forum and I tried IE 7 and 8. What a disaster!!!!! I had to reformat my computer after that. Although I did get an external hard drive out of the deal. I love to do graphics and feel real lucky that I have an external HD now.

You will notice that a lot of the features here are Firefox specific as well until IE catches up with the correct standards :D:D

Have fun

I installed this beautiful dark blue theme last night and now my signature rotator does not show up in the profiles. I am willing to give you admin power to my site if you want to take a look. I just need an email I can register for you. It is easier if I do this so I can make you admin. I have a young kid who keeps trying to bust into my forum too. little jerk >:(

Is there a way to shorten the width of the forum size?

I don't think I can do that zip thing and I stress out to easily which flares up my fibromyalgia and then my mind goes into a zone of its own.

Just let me know if its ok
Love,
Olivia

Ok, a few bugs and security related issues found in the Signature Image Rotator 1.2, just re-upped in the downloads Section which fixes many issues, still at version 1.2 since I plan on 1 more security fix before version 1.3.  As of SMF's response to the Signature Image Rotator, fixed all but 1 issue with it, that is the image urls that get displayed shows up as the actual name of the image (filename.png) instead of it linking to an action that displays this image (?action=getSig;image=1).  This will be fixed in the next release 1.3.

Fixes in Re-Upped Signature Image Rotator (Still at Version 1.2) in the Downloads Section:

1.  Uninstalling a previous installation and then trying to re-install the new installation causes a Database error, all fixed.  So you should be fine with uninstalling your Signature Image Rotator in packages and then Deleting the Package, and uploading the new package and installing this.

2. Session ID Checking now implemented which make Admin features now perfectly secure.

3. Fixed Padding of the Admin -> Features & Options -> Signature Settings.

4. Updated all database functions to SMF 2.0

5. Username now works as a URL path (was not obtaining the username if selected).

Ok, believe this was all of them.  So, just 1 more fix before SMF will approve this MOD, and this one's gonna be a toughy!! :(

hehe, thanks for the confidence and support there Shortie :)

Just thinking that if the images get changed to: index.php?action=getSig;image=1
instead of linking to the actual image files, this will disable the Images working on other sites.  This would be using the standard hidden input fields and would be able to accomplish this much easier.

But if I still wanted to make these images work on other sites, I suppose I could...

Get all images from index.php and pass them to a function which will return an action that is available as a url.  Then http://graphicsmayhem.com/GMForum/index.php?action=getSigImages;img=1"> should become available.

Anyways, this is the best I can think of for this.  I don't think file hashing is needed as this is what SMF recommends and how they handle attachments.  Though, will know more as I go on.

Ok, have been playing with this for about 2 hours now and conclude that there is absolutely no way to do this without disabling it from working on other sites.  That is, will only work on the site you have gotten it from...

Anyways, still testing, but looks like this is the case. :(

Just to let all members know Shortie did a wonderful job above and beyond the call of duty for me. So many thanks to you Shortie....I am just now exploring all my new toys on my forum. Now if I can keep that little jerk from trying to hack into my forum I will begin building up the pages and start inviting people to join.

When he / she tries again go to "whos on line" and see if you can see the IP address then you can ban on that address only, will save a lot of hassel doing that way and say bye bye monster

YES YES YES, I got it working I AM THE MAN, CHECK IT OUT:

MY IMAGE URL that is LINKING TO AN ACTION.... YEAHHHHHHH!

Ok, gotta clean it up a bit, but please if I can get some people testing this in different browsers that would be AWESOME.  Should just load a page that shows the image (ohh and only 1 image based on the img value, only images available right now are 21, 22, and 23)...YEAHHHHHH!!!!

Can you guys please test in your browser version and let me know the browser and how it works for that browser???  Also, please let me know the default filename when you try to save the picture, k??

THANKS!!
