Help with my sites look

I have a site http://wewantsport.com and it looks a bit bland and i am as about as good with graphics and colours as Chris O'Donnell is at acting.

So i was wondering if anyone has had experience with using the curve style theme and it's pics to update it and make it look kick ass.I would help anyway i can.I have seen some of the amazing work here and wanted to know if someone could help me.If you need to picture files i will gladly upload them :)
