Need help once again...

I want to draw 2 circles then cut off the lower portion. then add text inside the lines of two circles. the empty spaces should be transparent, but teh space between the 2 circles will be filled with white color.

the image might give a better idea about what i am talking about.

can you please tell me how can i do that using photoshop cs or illustrator cs?

Okay here we go

This is for PhotoShop but the principle can be applied to the majority of application

Also for this I will be using Vector Paths but the same thing can be achieved by using Raster images - but the advantage of using Vectors is that it infinitely scalable

So start a new doc say 600x600 px





Fill it with any colour just so you can see what you are doing



Add some guides so that you have a center point



Now draw two circle from the center to create the ring



Now from the layers tab select the inner circle and notice that the path is now high lighted

one you have the path selected press Ctrl C to copy the path

Now select the larger Circle ensuring that the path is visible and past the path to that layer (Ctrl V)

now select the the Path Selection tool (Black Arrow Tool) and click the subtract button on the menu bar

And you now have your ring



Now repeat the process to remove the bottom section





Now you have the basic shape

To Add the text draw another circle but make it a path only

Select the text tool and hover it over the path you will notice that the cursor changes shape





Add your text and style as required
