Any Ideas for an University's Logo?

The Institute (an independent institute under an University) where i go to has arranged a logo designing contest. in the contest students are to prepare a logo for the institute and a winner will be arranged from them. the winning logo will appear "everywhere": Banners, signboards, notepads.

I am interested to take part but having trouble determining the theme or style. can you suggest me anything? that would be great...

Name of the Institution: Institute of Business Administration
Category: Business
Preferred Color: Light Blue
 
University: Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh

A couple of things

Any idea of what format they would want it in especially the colour space i.e. RGB or CYMK if CYMK then tiff has to be the format for printers etc

Also what Size do they need layers so that it is editable

And one more for now do you have a link to their current site or any info

The width:height is negotiable.

i didnt understand about the color space u asked for. There is no such specifications about that in the official announcement. as far information about color goes, "it will not be black and white, and preferred color is Light Blue"

The institute was actually a "department" of the university (directly under the university's authority). but recently it has been promoted to an independent institute. so there is no logo or SEPARATE website of the institute yet. (I know, very bad :-/ )

How did you write in arch shape? using photoshop?

Draw a circle as a path

Select the text tool

Hover over the top of the path until the cursor changes to italic

Click and type your text

To rotate it use the black arrow and push and pull util it is in the correct position
