Smf_2-0-rc3_update

Guys as some of u may know there is now a new version of smf.

Ok this new version got some fixes and new things.

Now i want is to ask how can i supose to update my site with this.

i have downoad  the small update to RC3 but problem is that i forgot how to upgrade this and how to do it

Can anyone explain if i need to transfer all this package to my ftp or what is i do and next if there is anything i must put like update or upgrade in my browser in front of my site url.

I apreciate if someone can realy explain what are the steps to do on this cause i honestly dont know.

Easy one there dude

FIRST make a backup of every thing

nest extract the package locally

upload all extracted files over writing all files in your forum folder - hence the backup just incase

then in you browsergo to your forum but with update.php instead on index.php and follow the prompts

I have no tried it yet so let me know if you encounter any issues

Guys i have manage to update my site to 2.0 RC3 also today simpleportal too.

Now almost all things are done except some mods that still got somes issues and errors .
