started as two custom shapes, then merged, a couple of style and shadowing changes, then duped and another style, placed on a gradient background with the levels pulled way down and then used a big starfield brush at 50% opacity, warped and played with the rotation of the text a bit before style applied then all layers merged. Doesn't that sound easy...
